There was huge concern today when a turkey recall was announced, as U.S. citizens feared that it could affect their Thanksgiving dinner plans. Thankfully only ready-to-eat smoked turkey breast products are affected by this latest food recall, but this is still a huge issue.
It seems that these turkey products have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, this germ is very serious, as there is a chance that someone could fall ill with the fatal illness listeriosis. The recall emanates from the New Braunfels Smokehouse, a meat processor plant based in Texas.
