iTunes Announcement Expectations: Not Just iOS 4.2

By Updated on

Looks like Apple has some sort of iTunes announcement to make tomorrow, which we reported in a recent post. For those of you who have been to the website you will notice that there is a cryptic message on their, which tells us that there is more on offer than just iOS 4.2 – but what?

We do not have that long to wait now, but that still does not stop us from guessing what it could be. It could be one thing, it could be more, and there are so many possibilities. Antony Bruno from Billboard has been looking into this, and believes that there are 7 different services that Apple could announce.

The most obvious has to be iOS 4.2 all three devices are waiting on this update, none more so than the iPad, which we have discussed on more than one occasion. The other service could be the longer song previews that we mentioned a few weeks back.

One of the most talked about services that Apple could announce tomorrow could be iTunes Cloud; this would count as something exciting from iTunes. However, we do not believe that the technology is ready just yet – well it is, just not for Apple.

Whatever the announcement it has to be big, why else would it take over Apple’s homepage? What do you think Apple will announce tomorrow?

    Beatles on iTunes?

    That would be bigger than any of the other possibilities.

  • DasBoot

    No it wouldn't, who gives a rat's ass about the Beatles. I'll take back the MacBook Air I just bought if this is all it is.

  • Gary

    The announcement will most likely be ios 4.2 and all that means. AND announcing the iPhone going to Verizon Wireless in January. That'll be big news.

    @DasBoot
    You should just go ahead and take it back then. You're clearly a foam helmet wearer and that Macbook Air is headed to an inevitable death via your drool and/or urine.

    Well… The Beatles on itunes would be bigger than Jesus.

    The Beatles coming to iTunes isn’t that big of a thing. If Apple is posting this on their website’s home page it would have to be something exciting or a large number of their iTunes customers. Only people in the States care about the Verizon iPhone, and only a few in that matter. This announcement will most likely affect most people using iTunes from all around the world. iOS 4.2 is the most likely announcement.
