Samsung Galaxy Tab: Reviews Roundup – Apple in Trouble?

By Posted 11 Nov 2010, 17:11

As most of you are well aware, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is due to hit all four major carriers in the US, and you’ll be pleased to know that we have a collection of reviews for you to read before you decide to buy one or not.

The review roundup comes to you courtesy of Apple Insider, who have compiled a very useful review summary from some of the top tech websites on the net.

The good news, is that reviews for the Samsung Galaxy Tab are generally very positive, with the main criticisms coming via the Samsung Galaxy Tab’s high pricing point ($500-600), rather than anything to do with hardware or software on the device.

Interestingly, most reviews seem to conclude that the Samsung Galaxy Tab is now the undisputed real rival to the Apple iPad, with other critics such as the New York Times praising the stylish design of the Tab.

If you are strongly considering picking one up from the likes of Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint, then should definitely check out the three reviews below. After you have read them, let us know your final thoughts on the Galaxy Tab.

I really like the Galaxy Tab despite what everyone is saying about it, I really don't think Samsung was trying to be like Apple and the iPad in any way. The tab works great for my purposes like music and TV. I have and work at DISH Network and with the Sling adapter; I can stream live and recorded TV to my Galaxy Tab. The best part is that I can use it wherever I have 3G coverage or WiFi, so I have TV wherever I go. The Sling adapter also works iPads, iPhones, and laptops.
