There has been a lot of news as of late regarding the much-anticipated Gran Turismo 5 game, which is an exclusive for the PlayStation 3. This includes the release date, damage model and Tuscan circuit.
We now bring you an article that has been written by Henry Farrar- Hockley from telegraph.co.uk, where the Esquire magazine interviews Kazunori Yamauchi, who is the CEO of Polyphony Digital and producer of the Gran Turismo series.
In the interview, Kazunori Yamauchi described Gran Turismo 5 as not just a game and a simulator, but something else as well. He also revealed that he was still at school when he first came up with the idea of Gran Turismo.
Yamauchi founded Polyphony Digital back in 1998, starting up with just 10 employees. He now has about 110 people working for him, but he says that it hasn’t really made any difference to his busy lifestyle.
The latest instalment – Gran Turismo 5 – is said to be the biggest game of the series so far, with more than 1,000 vehicles to choose from, around 70 tracks, online play for up to 16 players and full 3D capabilities.
