Black Friday Ads: Experts Predictions

By Posted 6 Nov 2010, 00:37

We have already mentioned a few early Black Friday sales, and now we have the first ad scan, which was for Sears. So we now know that the holiday shopping season is just round the corner. It is always hard to know what will be popular these year, we can always count on certain products, but some have fallen out of favor with consumers since last years sales.

Yardena Arar from PC World has been speaking to some experts, who have given their predictions for this Black Friday. The first expert is DealNews founder Dan de Grandpre, he says that sales will not be as good this year because retailers have been much more cautious on how much stock they ordered. This means that they will not have as much inventory to shift.

Michael Brim from BFAds adds to this by saying that stores will not have much profit left in the items they have in stock, so could struggle to bring customers through the doors. Grandpre has a feeling that stores could wait much longer than usual, and not offer the best deals until Black Friday and Cyber Monday has gone.

However, we must not forget that these stores will still try to compete with each other for your custom, so there will still be deals – we just do not know how good? For a more detailed analysis of what the experts predict visit PC World.
