When you work for large companies such as Dell, who make desktop PC’s notebooks, netbooks, tablets and smartphones etc, sometimes there can be perks that come with the job.
Well as reported by Shayndi Raice and Roger Cheng over at wsj.com, Dell’s 25,000 employees will get the chance to trade their Blackberry’s for the new Venue Pro smartphone, which is going to run Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 operating system.
However, the staff will also be offered phones running Google’s Android OS. The employees will start to trade up as from next week, and the decision made by Dell is said to save around 25-percent on communications costs.
Apparently Dell is in talks with T-Mobile USA regarding buying a bulk amount of monthly data and voice minutes. It is said staff that currently have the BlackBerry and go for the new Venue Pro, will be offered inclusive voice & data plans, allowing them to check their email on the move. Other employees will get just voice plans.
