Kingston 96GB SSD: Specs, No Price

By Updated on

Kingston has recently announced a new 96GB solid-state-disk, apparently this is aimed towards enterprise and corporate users, however at the time of this post pricing information was unavailable

This drive falls into Kingston’s SSDNow V+100 family and has a 2.5-inch form-factor, it boasts sequential read speeds of 230MB/s and sequential write speed of 180MB/s. Other mentionable specs include the use of MLC NAND flash memory, SATA 1.5Gb/s and 3.0Gb/s support, 3.4W of power consumption and Kingston have given it an expected lifetime of 1,000,000 hours (MTFB).

Prior to this announcement Kingston offered SSDNow V+100 drives in a range of capacities (64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB), at the moment 64GB Kingston SSDs retail for roughly $250, whilst 128GB drives retail for roughly $370, therefore expect the 96GB SSD to sit somewhere between these prices.
