A few days ago we reported the price details of the Samsung Galaxy Tab on Verizon; we now have details of the Wi-Fi only model that is coming to Best Buy. The price will be $499.99, that’s just $1 more than the Apple iPad equivalent.
Thomas Ricker from Engadget reports that this is not the only model coming to Best Buy; there will also be a Verizon and Sprint 3G version in the color black and silver respectively. The price for those will be around $599.99 on contract.
The 3G versions will be available from November 11th on Verizon and November 14th on Sprint, there is no word on a release date for the Wi-Fi only model – although I would presume that it would be before Black Friday kicks off.
We do not expect them to appear in the sale – but you never know. However, just having them in Best Buy stores over the start to the holiday season could help drive up sales. Consumers will have a choice with tablets now – will they purchase the Apple iPad or go for the new Samsung Galaxy Tab?
