Netflix Down / Login Problems – Are You Affected?

Netflix are currently experiencing a site outage that is affecting its Watch Instantly steaming service. The website http://www.netflix.com just brings you to an error page, or does not display at all.

Although problems and issues were thought to have been fixed earlier, it does not seem to be the case. In a tweet via Twitter, the Netflix team posted a thank you message to users who had informed them that the site was inaccessible and say that they are aware of people still having issues with the Watch Instantly service, to which they say they are working to fix.

Thanks for your tweets. The site is back up but we’re aware that people are still having issues watching instantly. We’re working to fix it.

Netflix have no yet responded to questions regarding the reason for the downtime, and although they have stated that the website should now be fully functional, I can not still access the website.

Netflix have just updated their Twitter account and have tweeted this tweet: –

We’re aware of the issues that are occurring and are working diligently to get everything up and running again. Thanks for your patience!

    Every time I go to get on Netflix I must re~enter my password to the router. Now it says that I am connected to the Internet but Netflix will not load. Says no network connection.

    I tried to get into my Netflix queue today and I have major issues with the IE saying it can’t find the website. It also takes forever to load the Neflix homepage and to search for new releases as well. But then I go to Netflix home page and everything seems to work but slow still, except when I try to go to my netflix queue nothing happens, it can’t load the page. I wonder what issues they are still having and that are obviously still going on even today January 5th 2013 ??? Streaming for me still works atleast up to last night Jan 4th 2013. I did notice I was having these issues yesterday too, and thought it was just my internet connection. But it appears to be Netflix website only, no other website is giving me these problems.

    I am getting a Netflix site error when I try to login, It says to click the button to go to Netflix homepage and that does not work.

    I don’t have streaming, just get discs, but I can’t even get into the site to see my queue. When I log in it tells me I have to enable cookies, which are already enabled!

    i get netflix on my computer but do not get it on my blue ray.  It says it is downloading an upgrade but nothing happens and i cant get it on my tv

    Netflix wont let me sign in it keeps asking if im a member if i say yes it will take me to the email and password section then i click continue it still wont work

    I have a Sanyo 55″Netflix ready  tv.  Netflix stopped working, just spins and goes nowhere.  So I went to Setup, then Network,   Wireless, Access Point, Scan Access Points, and then you see an orange LOCK, indicating Netflix is locked out

    I have called:  (1) Netflix
                         (2) ISP
                         (3) router
                         (4) satellite company
                         (5) Sanyo

    Nobody (not one single one of them) takes responsibility NOR has a way to UNLOCK that orange lock.

    I have ordered a Netflix-ready device and am going to try to access Netflix that way.

    FOR THE LAST 8 DAYS I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO WATCH ANY MOVIES.  EVERYTIME I TRY TO WATCH ONE, IT ONLY LOADS UP TO 98% OF THE MOVIES AND THEN STOPS.  I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THEY TELL ONLY TO STILL BE AT A LOSS.  THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN PAID AND I KNOW THEY WILL NOT PRO-RATE MY BILL EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO WATCH FOR 8 DAYS.  I THINK I WILL HAVE TO CANCEL AND GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE. BECAUSE I WILL NOT KEEP PAYING FOR SOMETHING I AM NOT RECEIVING.  I AM SURE YOU COULD CARE LESS BECAUSE MY PROBLEM STILL EXIST.  YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED AND ARE NOT EDUCATED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE TO TROUBLESHOOT A PROBLEM.

    I have e-mail you 5 times for my password and you have not answer, what is the problem?
    I can’t login without my password and for some reason you don’t see fit to e-mail the password  back to me, also what did you raise the price on me, you double the amount. I can’t log in and you up the price not very good bussines on your part. I will one more time try to get my password form. Are you employee lazy or what? Just send my password please. You take my money without any problems so why can’t you e-mail my password. I like geting your movies, but don’t like the fact that no one will answer your e-mails when sent to you. So come on GUYS answer your e-mails, address the problem and I will be a happy customer. Please be nice.

    I am so damn angry due to your system. Earlier today I was able to get on your site. Rescently I loaded a bunch of videos on instant watch from my computer. My huband is listed as John M. Blaine We use visa from BofA. Now I try to go on it from my computer again and I can’t. I go on line and I get your free trial garbage every time. It does not even allow me or my husband to login on using my computer. What is going on? I have been here trying for about 45 minutes. We are so angry with all your grtbage we are ready to discontinue your services and go with someone else!

    We have subscribed to Netflix for several years, and for most of them my wife has wanted to just give up and try something else.  But WHAT else?  Her complaints include the very sorry selection of films, the impossibility of watching Roku without long, long waits, freeze-ups, and permanent stoppages in the middle of movies. Results with DVDs are somewhat better, but it is time consuming to sort through all the bummers in search of something tolerable. We are very senior senior citizens who live in the mountains far out at the end of the road and free of neighbors, visitors or other noxious distractions. We wouldn’t have it any other way.  Pets, gardening, books, TV (better than ever)  and chatting with each other are our main activities. Netflix was ok early on, but lt seems they have lost control..

    Can someone guide us to a good replacement for Netflix/Roku?

    Me thinks they lie to us.  I have not used it in several weeks. I go to watch movies yesterday and everything went to hell when I tried to use my Roku(s).  Seems like this is related to Roku firmware update and changes Netflix is making.  However, they are not owning up to problems they created.  Amazon, Classical TV, Crackle and news sites are working fine.  Netflix screwed us again and they will pay dearly and lose more customers.  I am ready to quit using them totally now.  They like to run customers in circles and blame us, when it is their problem.  Its BS….

    Come on, for real! new charges, no service. whats up!  I’ve been suportive to Netflix, but if these problems are not resolved, there are other options. Also, I’m known as a very patient person, but I’m rapidly loosing it!

    Have not been able to watch movies for three days now.Takes for ever to load then when they do load they play for a few minuts then stop.What up with this.?Nov.9th

    Well my problem still continues, and I am not to happy about it. While watching instant movies, it plays for a few minutes, stops and I have to wait for reloading. It`s terrible , that the movie your watching is only 1 1/2 hrs long and it takes 2hrs& 40 min. to watch. I`m paying for a service that I`m not getting from you. I was told several times, to try different things and it didn`t work. I`m not a very happy customer, I think i`ll try Blocker Buster maybe the`ll have better service.     I am more than upset re: Netflix not loading for streaming. I am very mentally ill and rely on my streaming movies to keep me from killing myself!! This is unacceptable!! I hope I amnot being charged for this disservice.
