Netflix Down / Login Problems – Are You Affected?

Netflix are currently experiencing a site outage that is affecting its Watch Instantly steaming service. The website http://www.netflix.com just brings you to an error page, or does not display at all.

Although problems and issues were thought to have been fixed earlier, it does not seem to be the case. In a tweet via Twitter, the Netflix team posted a thank you message to users who had informed them that the site was inaccessible and say that they are aware of people still having issues with the Watch Instantly service, to which they say they are working to fix.

Thanks for your tweets. The site is back up but we’re aware that people are still having issues watching instantly. We’re working to fix it.

Netflix have no yet responded to questions regarding the reason for the downtime, and although they have stated that the website should now be fully functional, I can not still access the website.

Netflix have just updated their Twitter account and have tweeted this tweet: -

We’re aware of the issues that are occurring and are working diligently to get everything up and running again. Thanks for your patience!

      No, Netflix's website is not down. If you are getting a disabled cookie message on your computer ,this simply implies that a login cookie has been lost.misdirected,or somehow deleted. There are many things that could of created this mishaps including Netflix login procedure itself. Simply reintroducing Netflix by going to the Netflix weblink and right click the Offical Netflix weblink, copy Netflix's URL and paste it into your search bar and hit search. It's that simple,the process will run and bring up Nteflix's login page,then proceed with entering your user ID & password.and "wallah" all is good. This is the path I took after trying to find the missing cookie in my desk top. I searched for over a week and never found the missing link so I went back and started at the beginning and now now it's working fine from my desk top computer ! I hope this helps your delimma !!!

    It won't let me do instant streaming on my ps3. I get "we are unable to connect you to netflix. Please try again later" the numbers 300,100 are in the bottom right hand corner. I'm assuming that's a error code?

      Calm down. It is only a temporary situation. I bet your cell phone service provider lets you down more often than Netflix. My 4 yr old son is handling the down time better than you!

      try reconfiguring tweaking up options a lot of antivirus/spware even routers you have to configure and allow certain services sites through we hae wifi bluray dvd playrs some cheap on old tvs//xbox360/ps3/computers desktop/laptop some old some new  some hd some composite tvs we my family watch dif times programs etc and streaming boxes and ipods we have never have had prblem streaming netflix after I reconfigured system

    at the moment, every time i try logging in/getting to my queue, all i get is this message: “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”  what’s up with that?  i had just finished watching something on my instant queue and i went to watch something else, suddenly i had problems

      I quit Net after receiving 3 movies in a row that conked out midway. Then, I got back into the fold and started receiving them on my computer.

    Haven’t gone on Netflix for awhile and go on it tonight and get an error page that says “We’re currently experiencing a technical issue”. While we get things back to normal, some features aren’t available – but you can
    play select titles on this page. There is quite a few titles but when I clicked on one my screen froze. I opened my task manager and clicked on “end task”. I opened up the internet, opened Netflix and got the same error message and clicked on a differant movie and the page froze again! What’s going on?

    Have been having streaming problems with netflix from the day I started about 1 month ago. Constantly having to re-load or Re-fresh….
    I would close & reopen and get Internet Explorer cannot Display~NOW, the latest, I had been watching netflix & when the program ended began to watch another~All of a sudden I need to Uninstall Microsoft Sliverlight and Reinstall to fix-Well…..after a  dozen attempts last night and then this morning I was still getting the same error code. Now I went to reinstall Adobe Flash as I was told be a tech, the Error code is gone but so is Netflix.
    Not HAPPY at all with this Service-just Canceled HULU thinking I didn’t need both, guess I’ll be Cancelling Netflix and going back to HULU!!!
    I haven’t one problem with any of my other browsers or sites! Just NetFLIX

      I can log in and all, it takes me to the selection of movies but when I choose 1 all I get is a black screen.  It’s been this way for 2 weeks now.  I thought it was just me.  Other than this I never had any problems and was quite happy until this.

    Well my problem still continues, and I am not to happy about it. While watching instant movies, it plays for a few minutes, stops and I have to wait for reloading. It`s terrible , that the movie your watching is only 1 1/2 hrs long and it takes 2hrs& 40 min. to watch. I`m paying for a service that I`m not getting from you. I was told several times, to try different things and it didn`t work. I`m not a very happy customer, I think i`ll try Blocker Buster maybe the`ll have better service.     Me thinks they lie to us.  I have not used it in several weeks. I go to watch movies yesterday and everything went to hell when I tried to use my Roku(s).  Seems like this is related to Roku firmware update and changes Netflix is making.  However, they are not owning up to problems they created.  Amazon, Classical TV, Crackle and news sites are working fine.  Netflix screwed us again and they will pay dearly and lose more customers.  I am ready to quit using them totally now.  They like to run customers in circles and blame us, when it is their problem.  Its BS….

    We have subscribed to Netflix for several years, and for most of them my wife has wanted to just give up and try something else.  But WHAT else?  Her complaints include the very sorry selection of films, the impossibility of watching Roku without long, long waits, freeze-ups, and permanent stoppages in the middle of movies. Results with DVDs are somewhat better, but it is time consuming to sort through all the bummers in search of something tolerable. We are very senior senior citizens who live in the mountains far out at the end of the road and free of neighbors, visitors or other noxious distractions. We wouldn’t have it any other way.  Pets, gardening, books, TV (better than ever)  and chatting with each other are our main activities. Netflix was ok early on, but lt seems they have lost control..

    Can someone guide us to a good replacement for Netflix/Roku?

    I am so damn angry due to your system. Earlier today I was able to get on your site. Rescently I loaded a bunch of videos on instant watch from my computer. My huband is listed as John M. Blaine We use visa from BofA. Now I try to go on it from my computer again and I can’t. I go on line and I get your free trial garbage every time. It does not even allow me or my husband to login on using my computer. What is going on? I have been here trying for about 45 minutes. We are so angry with all your grtbage we are ready to discontinue your services and go with someone else!

    I have a Sanyo 55″Netflix ready  tv.  Netflix stopped working, just spins and goes nowhere.  So I went to Setup, then Network,   Wireless, Access Point, Scan Access Points, and then you see an orange LOCK, indicating Netflix is locked out

    I have called:  (1) Netflix
                         (2) ISP
                         (3) router
                         (4) satellite company
                         (5) Sanyo

    Nobody (not one single one of them) takes responsibility NOR has a way to UNLOCK that orange lock.

    I have ordered a Netflix-ready device and am going to try to access Netflix that way.

    I tried to get into my Netflix queue today and I have major issues with the IE saying it can’t find the website. It also takes forever to load the Neflix homepage and to search for new releases as well. But then I go to Netflix home page and everything seems to work but slow still, except when I try to go to my netflix queue nothing happens, it can’t load the page. I wonder what issues they are still having and that are obviously still going on even today January 5th 2013 ??? Streaming for me still works atleast up to last night Jan 4th 2013. I did notice I was having these issues yesterday too, and thought it was just my internet connection. But it appears to be Netflix website only, no other website is giving me these problems.
