With just hours to go until Steve Jobs takes to the stage to delivery his keynote during the Back to the Mac event, we now have word that a new 11.6-inch MacBook Air will be unveiled. Below we will give you some of the spec details of the small Air netbook.
Do not worry, as Steve is still likely to announce details of a refresh of the 13.3-inch version, which is long overdue for a hardware bump. Thomas Ricker from Engadget has learned these details from a trusted source, so feels confident of the news.
So we know that it will have that smaller 11.6-inch display, the so-called Apple netbook will come with a choice of 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with a possibility to upgrade to 2.33GHz. We do not know what kind of storage device it will offer, but maybe this will be in conjunction with an SD Card, as a card reader and 2 USB ports will now be included.
Those of you who are not a fan of the current trackpad will be pleased to know that the smaller MacBook Air will now come with the same one used on the MacBook Pro range. This is all speculation, but the evidence is certainly pointing to a new smaller Air.
What hardware would you like to see in the new 11.6-inch Apple MacBook Air?
