In what’s sure to bring a smile to your face, Verizon Wireless has just announced that they’ll be carrying the Apple iPad in their retail stores at the end of the month. We have a solid date for you to mark down, as well as detailed pricing.
As reported from Engadget, the Verizon iPad will be available to buy on Thursday October 28th, just in time for Halloween! Verizon will only be offering the WiFi model of the iPad, since they will be providing their MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot along with it for 3G data on the move – smart.
If you are interesed in this (let’s face it, a lot of you are), then pricing is as follows: The 16GB iPad will be $630, 32GB $730 and $830 for the collossus 64GB version.
Verizon’s data plan for the iPad is pretty straight forward, and very reasonable too. For a single payment of $20 per month, you’ll get a monthly allowance of 1GB, with no contract required.
The full press release can be seen over at Engadget. Let us know your thoughts on Verizon’s pricing for the iPad. Are you interested in getting one or not?
UPDATE: We’ve just been informed that there are several other data plans available for the iPad too. Aside from $20 for 1GB a month, you’ll also be able to choose from $35 for 3GB and $50 for 5GB. However, if you go over the limits, you’ll be charged $10 per 1GB each time – discuss away.
