Xbox 360 Exclusives – Probably one of the most recognisable titles for the 360 — Fable is to get it’s third installement from Peter Molyneux and Lionhead. After two moderately successful games before it, this one really needs to up the anti if it is to get any sort of praise as the last two have not delivered entirely what was promised.
On to some more big hitters now, and that is definitely the case when I mention Gears of War 3 and Mass Effect 3. Not much is known about these two titles, especially Mass Effect as it has not even been announced yet. But its sure to be a ‘timed exclusive’ rather than a fully fledged one. Gears of War 3 on the other hand gets 10 notches. I’m sure 2011 will be full of Gears of War 3 fever.
Coming from the guys who made Crysis, comes Project Kingdoms. Crytek seem to be putting a lot of work into this one, and although we are judging this on the look of the trailer, you just have to think back to how awesome Crysis was to know Crytek will be doing something special with this.
Along with hardcore controller games comes the exciting alternative of Microsoft Kinect. With it, Microsoft intend to show off what it is all about with two titles, Forza Kinect and Kinect Star Wars. We have seen previews a plenty of the Forza game, and although lacking in features, it does look promising. Kinect Star Wars wowed gamers at E3 2010, lets just see if the public take to the new hand-gestured based technology.
Another Kinect exclusive, Rise of Nightmares is produced by SEGA and some have even compared it to another horror game called ‘D’ that was released in 1995. All I can say is, check out the trailer and see if it lives up to the horror genre. I’m betting that with Kinect, this game could feel very very real.
And to round-up, 3 more less commonly known titles make the Grade. XCom, Codename D and Fighters Uncaged. XCom has been doing the rounds and i’m fairly confident that most of you know what it is by now. Codename D for Kinect on the otherhand is promised to be hardcore. Although it has no form of guns, or swords, we are not quite sure how this will pan out. Fighters Uncaged will use the Kinect technology to gives players an immersive total-body combat experience that takes place on rooftops, alleyways and dirty city docks.
