Medal of Honor: Warning for PS3 Jailbreakers
By: Jamie Pert | October 14, 2010 | 4 Comments
We have some important news for those of you have jailbreaked your PS3, the new Medal of Honor game will require the latest firmware version to run, however you will probably be aware that this latest firmware update blocks the jailbreak.
According to a recent Engadget article, firmware version 3.50 will be needed to play the game, at first I wondered what this meant for those of you who do not have an Internet connection but the update has been put on the game’s disc.
To be honest with you this is a pretty clever way of dealing with piracy and I wouldn’t be surprised if this became common practice for all big titles, my only concern is that firmware updates have been known to brick consoles. We would appreciate your feedback on this matter, therefore feel free to answer the following questions in the comments section.
What do you think of this news? Do you think Sony are right to force firmware version 3.50 upon all Medal of Honor gamers?
