It is a good time to be a T-Mobile G2 owner now, as we are hearing that the carrier is now rolling out an official OTA update to Android 2.2 Froyo, adding quite a few significant features and additions for users.
As reported from BGR, the Froyo equipped handset has only been available for a couple of weeks, but we’re glad to report that T-Mobile are already hard at work to make sure Froyo on the G2 is the best experience possible.
The OTA update is apparently available now for some users, while it is currently rolling out to everyone else. A few of the main features in the update include WiFi calling and Mobile Hotspot creation, i.e – tethering support.
The question is though, have you received the update notification already? If so, let us know thoughts on the handset after installing.
