It has been a while since we first told you that Walmart would start stocking the Apple iPad, now the wait is almost over with the news the retailer will start selling the device this coming Friday.
Joel Mathis of Macworld is reporting that the device has already found its way into Target stores, and online retailer Amazon has also started to sell the iPad. Customers of Walmart can buy the iPad via the retailer’s website, but they will have to pick it up from one of the Walmart stores.
By late November it is expected the iPad will be available in 2300 of Walmart stores, and the 16GB Wi-Fi only version will sell for $499. Amazon and Walmart will start off at a disadvantage to Target, as from October 17 they will be offering their customers who have one of their store credit cards a five percent discount, saving them $25.
Will you be getting an iPad from Walmart?
