Today has been a long time coming, but we finally got to see what Microsoft has been planning over several months with the new range of handsets to run on Windows Phone 7. Ten handsets were launched in all; five of which were by HTC, as well as others from LG, Samsung and one from Dell.
The five HTC handsets are as follows: HTC HD7, HTC 7 Mozart, HTC 7 Pro, HTC 7 Surround and the HTC 7 Trophy. We have already covered the Mozart and the Trophy; over the next few days we will be covering all of these phones in greater detail.
What makes these different to previous handsets with Windows is how they integrate Xbox Live gaming – something that is certain to go down well with those who just love to game while on the move.
We are uncertain of pricing or shipping details, but we do know that HTC is having a great 2010 with their range of Android handsets, and the launch of these WP7 handset will only help to bolster its 2011 business.
