It has been a day since we learned that the Greenpois0n Jailbreak for iOS 4.1 was confirmed for a Sunday release. There have already been a number of complaints that the jailbreak only covers the iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and the iPad, and looks like we can add the new Apple TV 2G to that list.
So, we can now confirm that Greenpois0n will work with all Apple devices that use the A4 chip, but do not expect the jailbreak for Apple TV to be available on Sunday. According to a tweet from the Chronic Dev team, all their concentration is on the fourth-generation iPhone and iPod Touch, as well as the tablet device.
Gamal Sabry from Covering Web said that no ETA was given for when the jailbreak would be ready for the new 2010 Apple TV, as it seems that there are still a few bugs that needs to be resolved.
However, Sabry does point out that the Dev team guys managed to use the SHAtter exploit by using the PwnagTool in order to jailbreak Apple’s latest TV device. We do not know if Greenpois0n for Apple TV will be days or weeks after the Sunday launch, but we expect it to be the former.
