GreenPois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak: List of Supported Devices

As most of you will probably be already aware, Chronic Dev Team has finally revealed a solid release date and time for iOS 4.1 jailbreak GreenPois0n, but now we have a list of devices which will be supported by the tool.

If you didn’t know, GreenPois0n will be available to download this Sunday, you can check times in your area in our previous report here.

GreenPois0n will not only jailbreak the iPhone 4 running iOS 4.1, but also the new iPod Touch too. It will also be able to jailbreak previous generation iPhones and iPod Touches, along with the Apple iPad running iOS 3.2.2.

Below is a list of supported devices which we found over at GreenPois0n.biz –

They include

- iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G on iOS 4.1 and older
- iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 2G on iOS 4.1 and older
- iPad on iOS 3.2.2 and older

Don’t confuse this website with the official GreenPois0n site though, it appears to just be a clone but with more information for users, since the real site continues to show just a GreenPois0n logo.

UPDATE: This tweet confirms that GreenPois0n WONT support the iPhone 3G/3GS or iPod Touch 3G –
@chronicdevteam: greenpois0n supports: The iPad, the iPhone 4, and the iPod touch 4. Probably the AppleTV as well.

    this website is wrong & is obviously someone trying to steal thunder from the dev team. it was clearly stated today by @musclenerd that Greenpois0n will only support iPhone 4, iPod 4, & iPad. @comex *might* eventually work out a jailbreak for iPhone 3Gs & maybe 3G, but there's no ETA on that & it's no sure thing.

    Some sites say that greenpoison will only jb the 4th generation, i.e. iphone 4 or itouch 4g. Are you guys certain that previous models are also supported?

    just a question……….. what happened to that promise that this jailbreak was supposed to work on ALL versions of iphones (3G and 3Gs)? And I am also confused because one site would say that it should work on all but then one site would says the opposite! what is the REAL DEAL? If it is true that this does NOT support 3G and 3GS, then is there one that will come out soon? Will wait for your response. Thanks!

    New to the jail break scene, I had my iP4 jailbroke when I first got it

    but lost it to the 4.1 update. Now my main thing is after I jail break agai

    can I modify the the iOS like a Linux or Unix Free distro? I would love to

    Clone iOS and modify it or just use it’s coca touch tech to dev a personal iOS now that’s what I want to do.

    I tried greenpois0n on my ipod touch 3G 4.1 MC model and i followed the on screen instructions perfectly and still nothing happened!!! Does anyone know of a reliable jailbreak for an ipod 3g 4.1?
