We explained yesterday how the Samsung Galaxy S has sold more that 5 million handsets, most of that due to the four variants in the U.S. However, we can now tell you that there is to be a fifth, the US Cellular Mesmerize.
Although the four previous Galaxy S smartphones are from the same family, each carrier added their subtle differences – with the Epic 4G from Sprint considered the best from the bunch. The Mesmerize is also different and shares a few Similarities with the T-mobile Vibrant.

The US Cellular Mesmerize has been in planning for a while now, and has only just started to share design and spec details. The handset has the same 4-inch Super AMOLED display and 5-megapixel camera as the Vibrant.
The handset also shares the same 1GHz processor as the other Galaxy S models, but that is about the only other feature that it shares. This is not the best Samsung Galaxy S phone from the range, but it is the best handset from US Cellular. MobileCrunch informs us that the smartphone will be available from October 27th.
