We have some bad news for those of you planning to pre-order a T-Mobile G2 handset, as T-Mobile USA has just confirmed that they have now stopped taking pre-orders for the device.
As reported from Engadget, the reason for it according to T-Mobile is ‘overwhelming demand’ for the G2, however there is some good news. While you can’t pre-order a G2 anymore, you can still buy it straight up online, starting today on their website.
If you do decide to buy one now though, don’t expect a shipping date from T-Mobile, as they are obviously having a hard time dealing with demand for the device – good for them.
We wonder if they know about the hinge problem which some people are complaining about? Perhaps the problem is pretty isolated so they needn’t worry about it. I bet they know that it’s already been rooted though.
