We have some more details on the mysterious Samsung Transform handset that was leaked this week, as the official User Manual for Sprint has been obtained, revealing some very good news indeed.
As reported from BGR, the Samsung Transform user manual has revealed that the handset will be shipping with a stock version of Android 2.2 Froyo, meaning that it won’t be coming with TouchWiz 3.0 as seen on the Samsung Galaxy S and Sprint’s Samsung Epic 4G.
It also means that the Sprint version of the handset could receive future updates more quickly than if the same phone was announced for a different carrier – just like the Nexus One running a stock Android 2.2 for example.
Other specs revealed in the manual include a 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi and MicroSD card support. It also comes with a unique ‘Sprint ID’ softkey, which BGR says will enable you to customize the device more easily – we’ll hopefully have more details on this Sprint ID key soon.
No doubt that stock Android 2.2 Froyo is the big plus though – how many of you are now interested in this device? Check out the manual over at BGR.
