GE DV1 Mini HD Camcorder Specs: No Price Yet

By Daniel Chubb - Sep 29, 2010

Last month we posted some details on a mini waterproof HD camcorder from Sanyo, which could go up to 10 feet below water and today we have another device for those that love their mini camcorders with a little water protection.

The new camera is a DV1 Mini HD from the makers GE. Gerald Lynch wrote an article over at techdigest.tv, saying that although there is no price on this camcorder, it will be available sometime in October. There are three colors to choose from – green, orange and grey.

As I mentioned above, this camcorder provides protection from water, as well as offering resistance to dust and shocks. For convenience the DV1 has a flip-out USB arm for fast and easy file transfer, also an HDMI for connection to a HDTV.

This Mini HD is capable of capturing full 1080p movies and saves them to 32GB SD/SDHC memory cards. You get an LCD that measures 2.5-inches for viewing what you have just recorded, and the capability to take 5MP stills.

If you favor pocket-sized camcorders, will you buy the GE DV1 Mini HD camcorder?

Really a fine filming instrument! Film is quite a lot better than the photo's but that's said on the instructions. Good quality of sound and taking pictures takes less than a few seconds. While filming you can take pictures! And under water it's good image!
