A great new fitness application has just been released for owners of the iPhone and iPod Touch. StepMeter PRO 1.0 takes advantage of the devices accelerometer and smartly shows users the progress which has been made for the day.
Released by ivoxBytes the app shows the amount of steps, distance or miles the user has done, and calculates the workout time and calories being burnt. The app has been designed to encourage people to walk or jog more. All the functions are easy to use with one press of the Go button to start measuring.
Users can set daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and using the Steps Alarm feature will trigger an alarm when the target number of steps is reached. Targets when achieved can be posted to friends with the Facebook Share button. When you are using the app just pop your device in a pocket and away you go.
Other features include; data saved in the device, steps calibration, smart step monitor mode, works in any direction, and much more.
