A new music education application has been released for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Sounds of the Orchestra 1.0 is great for children of all ages to learn about orchestral instruments through listening activities and games.
Released by Smappsoft the app has you exploring the four different sections of the orchestra, while learning about the individual instruments. Users listen to each instrument as it plays some beautiful classical musical favorites.
A card matching game tests your memory and listening skills by pairing the instruments by picture and sound. Use the colorful soundboard to learn the unique sounds of each instrument. The app is great for the whole family to enjoy, or for those in the musical education environment.
Sounds of the Orchestra 1.0 is available on the App Store for only $1.99. iOS 3.1.3 or later required.
