I've installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and after a few seconds, there is black screen and a message "Dead Risng 2 is out of order" or something like that. What should i do?

  • Ben

I think your directions are similar though. They just have the direct file that causes the problem. Thanks again.

I was able to get my game working by following this… it took like 10 seconds to do too.

Update Direct X, Graphics drivers, visual C++, phys X. Reinstall if necessary. These are mostly common problems related with PC games.

artifact dude maybe your gpu has overheated

  • You might also want to consider adding the link to the 64-bit version of the C++ package. The majority of Win7 machines I come across nowadays are 64-bit.

BE CAREFUL on downloading single .dll files from certain websites. VIRUS CITY.

That may work for some, but what fixed the problem for me, after trying the same solution you listed, was simply downloading msvcr100.dll (you can find it with a simple google search) and putting it in my game directory.

Simple fix, if you are running a new ATI/AMD card, simply get the newest version of the Catalyst Control Center from their website. It will have everything needed to get your card running fine.
