2011 Triumph Speed Triple Leaked Before Official Launch

By Daniel Chubb - Sep 28, 2010

In a technical blunder Triumph has mistakenly released pictures of its 2011 Speed Triple before the official launch next week. Although it seems now that the manufacturer has removed the link some have been able view the new bike ahead of time.

On Triumphs Accessories website the new model was shown, and although there has been no information as of yet, it was clear to see where improvements have been made. Pictures showed that the bike had been restyled with new lights, new cast alloy chassis and new swingarm to go with its new wheels, the instruments have also been changed.

It has been reported that the 1050cc three-cylinder lump has been tweaked as well to give better performance. Add to this and the weight lose, due to the new lighter cast alloy chassis, we should see a bike that will out shine the very popular Speed Triple it replaces. An insider that has ridden the 2011 model says that “They’ve made it feel like a big Street Triple. It’s as flickable as the smaller bike but with considerably more power and it feels great to ride.”

With a price of around £8500 OTR it will only be £300 more than the current version when it is released for sale early 2011. Hit the link below to see some glimpses of what is to come.
