Forbes Rich List 2010: Are the rich really getting richer?

It seems the rich are getting wealthier following the Forbes rich list that was published today. Despite the worst recession since the Second World War, the top ten wealthiest people are worth $270.8 billion.
In America the top ten were said to be worth $245.9 billion with Bill Gates who kept top spot with an estimated $53 billion. He’s friend Warren Buffett came in second with $45 billion, and Larry Ellison who founded Oracle stayed at third with $27 billion.
Apple boss Steve Jobs is said to be worth $6.1 million, but was over taken be newcomer Mark Zuckerberg founder of Facebook with $6.9 billion. Mexican telecoms tycoon Carlos Slim Helu according to Forbes is the richest man in the world with a reported $53.5 billion dollars.
In the US thirteen of the top fifty were involved in technology companies, these include Jeff Bezos founder of Amazon on $12.6 billion and Eric Schmidt chief executive of Google on $5.45 billion.
