It has recently been revealed that Mafia 2 has topped the UK software sales chart for the third week running, despite the releases of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and Tom Clancy’s R.U.S.E.
Mafia 2 was at the top of the list, whilst H.A.W.X. 2 was its closest competitor, I very much doubt that it will stay top next week as Halo: Reach will launch at midnight tonight, however I am sure Take Two are more than happy with the game success.
To be honest I think it was pretty clever marketing releasing Mafia 2 when they did, with Halo: Reach, PlayStation Move and Medal of Honor pretty near by a later release date may have resulted in far fewer sales.
