Samsung Galaxy Tab: Verizon, AT&T and Sprint 4G?

By Updated on

We have some good news for those of you in the US who are planning to pick up the Samsung Galaxy Tab device when it becomes available, as a new report has identified as many as three carriers which will be supporting it.

As reported from Engadget, an article has just been published by the Wall Street Journal, who states that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be heading to Verizon, AT&T and also Sprint when it makes it’s US debut later on this year.

Samsung has an event lined up on the 16th September and the WSJ says that Samsung will use it to unveil their US plans for the Galaxy Tab.

While it is obviously good for those of you on Verizon and AT&T, Sprint customers may have the best deal, as WSJ is also claiming that Sprint’s version will be WiMAX supported, so you’ll get 4G speeds on the tab – very nice.

Nothing is official yet though, but if WSJ says something so blunt – you usually take notice. Let us know your thoughts on this. What US carrier would you prefer the Galaxy Tab on?

Been wanting a tab for a while now, and I would really look forward for using this device on sprint as long as a data plan is not required.

I think the data plan will be obligated for that device.
