MAG 2: PS3 Release Date hints from Walmart?

Well this is certainly a surprise. We haven’t heard any talk on a sequel to PS3 exclusive MAG yet, but that hasn’t stopped a US retailer from posting a listing for the game online. Take this one with a pinch of salt guys.

As reported from VG247, Walmart is the retailer in question and they have posted a listing for the game – which you can see online here.

As you can see, they reckon that MAG 2 will be out January 2011 – which is surely impossible. We remember the vigorous advertising campaign that Sony used for MAG prior to release, so the likelihood of MAG 2 releasing in 5 months is slim to none.

No word from Sony or developers Zipper Interactive yet, but we’ll keep you informed. Let us know your thoughts on this.
