VLC: Coming to iPad Soon, iPhone Release Later

If you have experienced video codec problems with your iPad we have some good news for you, it looks as if VLC could soon be coming to iPad and iPhone.

From what we can see the iPad version will launch first, this was developed by Applidium and has been submitted to the App Store, which means it should arrive pretty soon if Apple choose to approve it, once approved an iPhone/iPod version should follow.

It is thought that it will arrive in two weeks or so, it should allow you to play pretty much all video formats. For those of you who don’t know, VLC is an open source media player which is famous for pretty much playing every video format known to man, you can download VLC for your PC here.
