We have some good news for Android owners now, as we can confirm that Angry Birds is now available to download in beta form on the Android Market. However, we are hearing reports that the app isn’t available for those running custom ROMS.
As reported from Phandroid, we previously told you that the beta would be up on Friday, and it is now available just as promised. There has certainly been a lot of fuss made about an Android game, the only difference is that Angry Birds is one of the most popular games on the iPhone, so millions of Android users were waiting for the day when it finally makes an appearance on Android.
If you have a stock Android device, you should be fine, but those of you running a custom version of Android 2.2 Froyo may run into some difficulties. Phandroid has stated that not everyone can see the download in the Android Market, and it is due to which software you are running on your device.
The question is though, is Angry Birds available for you? Tell us if you can see it in the store and what handset / phone software you are running.
