AutoBlog recently got their hands on the new Honda CR-Z 2011, a lot of people have shown interest in the model, however it looks as if on the whole it is a bit of a disappointment.

The CR-Z is powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine, as it is a hybrid there is also a small electric motor. The petrol engine creates 122 horsepower whereas the electric motor creates just 13 horespower.
AutoBlog were unhappy the CR-V’s fuel economy, the six-speed manual version that they reviewed delivered just 31-37 miles per gallon, usually similar vehicles deliver roughly 35/39 mpg.
The CR-Z offers three different driving modes, eco, normal and sport, eco mode unsurprisingly makes the CR-Z sluggish, however sports mode isn’t great for mpg, therefore normal mode seems to be the perfect blend.
As standard the CR-Z features a set of 16-inch alloys wheels, however if you prefer you can buy 17 inch alloys instead.
