Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ45 Review: Main rivals include
By: Peter Chubb | August 25, 2010 | Leave a CommentThe new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ45 has some big shoes to fill if it has any hopes of besting the DMC-FZ35. Some people will know it as the FZ40 in certain regions, but come with all the same features. The biggest change over its predecessor is the increase to the 14-megapixel CCD sensor.
The PhotographyBlog has spent some time with the new camera, and to offer a review, and early signs show that it does compare to another Panasonic shooter, the FZ100. This is not great news, and the $399 is also another factor that could persuade you to consider a rival.
The PhotographyBlog believes that there are 11 main rivals, some from Panasonic, the others from Canon, Fujifilm, Kodak, Nikon, Olympis, Pentax, Samsung and Sony. All of which are in the same price range, or thereabouts. View complete list of rivals.
The review has given the DMC-FZ45 a 4.5 out of 5 for design, 4 for features, 4.5 for ease-of-use, 4 for image quality and 3 for value for money. Read the full review here.
