Spotify: New Update Introduces Playlist Folders and Twitter Updates

By Updated on

Spotify continues to embrace itself on the world. With ever increasing users, more music, and the new Spotify Social service that has introduced the sharing of playlists, it can only get better for Spotify.

Straight from the Spotify blog, Spotify have released a new update for the service that includes a number of updates, but most importantly playlist folders.

Playlist folders make it much easier for you to organise your music. This can be done by arranging all your favorite music from a selected playlist into folders of your choice. For instance, I would create folders depending on genre and make them folders by going to ‘File -> New playlist folder.’

Spotify has also updated the application to show official Spotify Twitter updates in the feed.

Other new features included are a new look and feel for the search view, that brings album art to the search feature — making searching for music all the much better, plus a newly-added picture of playlist subscribers to the header of each playlist.

There is also support for Windows 7 Snap, and a “Send to Windows Live” option.
