There are plenty of consumers out there that want a handset for simple day to day tasks, if you are one of those consumers you may want to check out Nokia’s upcoming cell phone the Nokia 5250.
There is nothing amazing about the device’s specs, it features a 2.8 inch touchscreen display supporting a resolution of 640 x 360, Symbian S60 5th, Guitar Hero 5 pre-installed and an FM radio.
In terms of battery life the 5250 is not too bad, from one charge you can expect 18 days of standby, seven hours of talktime or 24 hours of music payback.
Other specs are not known at present, however photos confirm that there is rear camera, physical volume controls and a headset socket, you can see a couple of high resolution renders of the 5250 embedded at the end of this post.
As you can see the specs aren’t great, however in terms of price the 5250 is very impressive, apparently we can expect a contract-free price of $146 (€115), therefore I’m sure some carriers will offer it for free as part of a 18-24 month deal. As for a release date we have no specific release details, however it should start shipping in Q4 2010.
