In the preview, the web store gives developers first hand opportunity to upload applications, get some knowledge on how the store works with packaging information, installing them within their Google Chrome web browser, and experimenting with the payments and authentication infrastructure.
According to Google, developers who use the web store to show off and parade their applications will only have to pay a 30-cent transaction fee, and will receive 95% of all sales if the app is on a paid-for-basis.
