While Motorola may have been prizing away many customers with their collection of Droid handsets on Verizon, the announcement of the upcoming G2 may do enough to persuade consumers to head back to T-Mobile USA – Are you one of them?
We have heard continued reports that Apple may be planning to unleash their iPhone on Verizon sometime in January next year. If this is the case, then T-Mobile will have to ensure that their G2 handset packs a lot more punch than the original G1.
Don’t forget that it was the G1 handset that kickstarted the whole Android bandwagon in the first place, so you can rest assured that T-Mobile are aiming for the G2 to be something special.
Does it have enough might over a Verizon iPhone though? Even if consumers are not waiting for the iPhone on Verizon, there are still fantastic handsets available via the Motorola Droid X, Droid Incredible and the EVO 4G and Epic 4G on Sprint.
At the moment, we don’t know what kind of specs the G2 will possess, Android 3.0 Gingerbread would be a good start though – do you agree?
Let us know your thoughts on this debate. Will the T-Mobile G2 be a Verizon iPhone killer or not?
