Canon S95 PowerShot: Specs, Release date and price
By: Gary Johnson | August 19, 2010 | Leave a CommentCanon has announced today their new advanced compact digital camera the PowerShot S95. This latest model replaces the hugely successful PowerShot S90, and is for photographers who want great low light performance and manual control in a compact body.
Website dpreview are reporting the new model has greater manual control, improved handling, HD movie capabilities, and the HS system and Hybrid IS all allow for the camera to give excellent image quality in all conditions.
The lens Control Ring that was found on the S90 has been improved to offer greater levels of flexibility. A slimmer body with the same coating found on the EOS 7D to improve slip resistance, and an improved multi-control dial are also added.
The camera comes with a 28mm wide-angle lens with a 3.8x optical zoom which further enhances the options when using the S95. Available late August the S95 will retail at $399.99. For more of the specs log onto dpreview.
