The Samsung Galaxy S has been available in the U.S. for a while now, but there is much confusion over which version to purchase – this is because there are four available. Well, there are only three at the moment, but the final one – the Samsung Epic 4G will be released on August 31st.
AT&T has the Captivate, T-Mobile has the Vibrant and Verizon has the Fascinate, and although all three are very capable phones, they are nowhere near as good as the Epic 4G. Yes the Sprint version still sticks with the 1GHz processor and the 4-inch Super AMOLED display, but that’s about it.
Chris Ziegler from Engadget has spent some time with the Epic 4G and now has an extensive review to offer, and one thing is certain – it is a killer device. We do not know if it will compete with the iPhone, but we know that it is one of the best Android handset yet, which will become much better once Android 2.2 Froyo update has been made available.
The review covers every aspect of the phone, from its packaging, hardware, software and camera. This then leads to the wrap-up and what Ziegler thought of the Samsung Epic 4G. The Galaxy S range has been suffering from a GPS problem, but a fix is due for release next month, more details in our recent post.
Do you think the Samsung Epic 4G is the best from the Galaxy S range?
