Crysis 2: Released Date Delayed Until 2011 – PC, PS3 & Xbox 360

Electronic Arts has delayed the release of the upcoming multiplatform shooter Crysis 2, no reason has been given however Crytek has ruled out a 2010 release.

No official release date has been confirmed, however we should expect it to appear in Q1 2011, which means it should appear in stores between January and March next year, prior to this a holiday 2010 release was expected.

Crysis 2 will support stereoscopic 3D (PC and PS3 versions), therefore it wouldn’t be surprising if this is part of the reason for the delay.

Not to panic, having this game come out next year will give you a little longer to save up, and buy a computer that can handle it in 3D. We will keep you updated when we find out more on this delay.

"Crysis 2 will support stereoscopic 3D (PC and PS3 versions)"

As far as I'm aware, the developers have said it will support 3D in ALL versions.
Have you got a source for the PC and PS3 only claim?

This article is slightly incorrect. It's delayed for "marketing reasons" (They don't want to release Crysis 2 at the same time as Black Ops and Halo Reach), and the game has been delayed to Q1 2011, not just 2011.
