New BlackBerry Torch 9800: ETF and Data Plans

By Jamie Pert - Aug 3, 2010

There is a surge of information coming through about the BlackBerry Torch 9800 that has just been announced by AT&T ahead of the official BlackBerry announcement. If you are wondering about the ETF and the data plans, then read on.

AT&T have stated that you may prematurely terminate your contract in the first 30 days with no fee, but you may be asked to pay up to $35 restocking fee to equipment returns. If this is outside the 30 day span, you will be required to pay $325. Please also note that some agents impose additional fees.

As for data plans, the Torch requires you to have a DataPlus (200MB) or DataPro (2GB) plan in your contract. If this is exceeded you will be charged an additional $10 for each individual 1GB provided on DataPro or an additional $15 for each individual 200MB provided on DataPlus.

If you are interested in corporate email, company intranet sites and business applications, an Enterprise Data Plan is also provided. More information on these data plans can be found on the AT&T website.
