THQ has confirmed that its upcoming third person shooter Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine is to come to PC as well as Xbox 360 and PS3. The new shooter, which is being developed by Relic Entertainment, is set for an “early 2011″ release, according to THQ.
“The loyal PC audience is incredibly important to us here at Relic,” said Relic general manager John Dowdeswell. “Delivering great content the fans want to play is the key goal in the core games division at THQ so we are pulling out all of the stops to make this the best possible game for PC and console audiences alike,” added a THQ spokesperson.
The game itself casts players as a Space Marine who, through genetic modification and psycho-chemical conditioning, has gained near super-human strength and endurance. Those powers come in handy when the planet your platoon is stationed on is overrun by enemy forces.
Do you think this will be a big hit on PC?
