As you are probably aware Google are extremely proud of Chrome’s security, therefore it is no surprise to hear that they have recently patched their popular we browser ahead of the Black Hat security conference.

The update brings Chrome to version 5.0.375.125, apparently once updated users are patched against seven security holes, two $1,337 bounties were paid to the developers/hackers whose work uncovered these vulnerabilities.

Recent Google announced that they were raising the bounty reward for severe bugs found in Chrome to $3,133.7, therefore it seems as if the most recent vulnerabilites must have been relatively low-risk.

If you would like to download this latest version check out this link, Chrome users can receive the update by clicking on the settings icon (looks like a spanner) and then clicking ‘About Google Chrome’, Chrome will then automatically check for updates and notify you if there are any.
