General Motors Reveal Price of the Chevrolet Volt

Later this year General Motors are planning to launch the Chevrolet Volt, since its announcement there has been a lot of interest, however potential customers are eager to find out just how much it will cost.

Well, General Motors has recently revealed that it will have a price tag of $41,000, however U.S. customers will be eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit, alternatively if you would like to lease the Volt it will cost $350 a month, which sounds good given the great fuel savings.

The Volt will apparently be capable of 40 miles journeys without using any gasoline, if you want to travel further than 40 miles the vehicle’s small gasoline engine gives it a total range of 340 miles with the ability to fill up at gas stations.

The Volt’s main competitor is said to be the Nissan Leaf, this is a pure electric car which will costs $32.780 before the federal tax credit, it is cheaper, however it only has a 100 mile range, with no backup gasoline engine.
