Windows Phone 7: Android 3.0 Gingerbread and HTC Sense Update
By: Alan Ng | July 25, 2010 | 4 CommentsWe have some important news for those of you who are planning to pick up a Windows Phone 7 handset later on this year, as we are hearing reports that the OS can be customized after all, with HTC interested in building their Sense UI on top of Microsoft’s OS.
As reported from Engadget, Microsoft originally stated that Windows Phone 7 devices wouldn’t be able to be modified by manufacturers. However, it looks like the Windows Phone 7 OS won’t be completely locked after all, and some upcoming HTC devices may come with HTC Sense on top of WP7.
Furthermore, HTC’s Drew Bamford has even hinted that Android 3.0 Gingerbread may incorporate Windows Phone 7 features into their future handsets – in some sort of crazy hybrid handset no doubt.
What are your thoughts on this? Does the idea of Android, HTC Sense and WP7 combined interest you or not? More details over at Engadget.
