Well that certainly didn’t take long did it? It has only been available for a week, but we can confirm that the Motorola Droid X handset has been successfully rooted. We have a full tutorial guide for you to follow if you want to try it out.
As reported from BGR, the tutorial can be found over at AllDroid.org. The root has come to us courtesy of ”Birdman” and is available for all Droid X owners to try.
There are no fewer than 12 steps to follow, and the root should only be attempted if you know what are you doing. After having a quick glance at the steps needed to achieve this root, it shouldn’t be too difficult as long as you follow each step carefully.
At the end of the tutorial, you’ll find the download link called ”DroidXRoot.zip’. Download it, follow the steps and let us know how you get on! Be honest – how many of you expected this to come so soon?
