GamesCom 2010 In Germany: Dates and No Capcom

By Peter Chubb - Jul 22, 2010

Gamescom 2010 will be held in Germany and the dates of the event will be from August 18th until August 22nd. However, the event does not open for everyone until the 19th, but we are certain that you will learn a lot from the media coverage the day before the doors open to the public.

There is no denying how spectacular the venue hall is, but there will be a developer missing from the halls – Capcom. According to Gamestar the reason why the developer has decided to pull out of the event is because they have no big releases.

The only game that they have coming to Germany is Lost Planet 2 for the PC, they do have Dead Rising 2, but that is not slated for release in Germany. This shows that Capcom are on their back foot when it comes to new releases, but we are certain that they will be back next year.

Do not let that worry you though, as there will still be a huge showing from the likes of Sony, Microsoft and others. Let us know if you will be attending Gamescom 2010.
