Future Samsung AMOLED Displays: Flexible and Impact Resistant

If you have ever cracked or shattered your smartphone’s display you will know how frustrating it can be, however this could be a thing of the past thanks to Samsung’s future flexible and “unbreakable” AMOLED displays.

If you scroll down to the end of this post you can see a video showing off how rugged these displays are, especially when compared to existing AMOLED’s. In the video both displays are hit with a hammer, the existing AMOLED display shatters instantly, however the future AMOLED display remains undamaged.

Also in the video the display’s flexibility is shown off, whilst the the future AMOLED is displaying video output it is pretty much folded in half, this has no effect on the display and it continues outputting video perfectly.

It is thought that these new AMOLED displays will begin shipping with new devices in around two years, there is no doubt that this technology will make broken screens a thing of the past.

@atan You dumbass….. he hit's both of them with the same hammer first to break them. Get some freaking glasses or more peanuts in your CrApple Brain! Just know you got to be an iNazi for your buddy Steve iHitler. Repeated strikes w/ the sledge on the Super AMOLED isn't going to crack if the first didn't like it did on a Retina type screen. The rest of the hammering was to prove that you couldn't make the screen stop working…… FOOL! xD

Don't worry though Samsung will sell CrApple these super high res 720p, super energy, super fast response time, super high contrast, super efficient unbreakable screens in about two years! haha….. btw…. touch interface is integrated right into screen!

But you're talking about the largest Electronics Conglomerate in the World that makes more phones and phone parts along with more screens and memory modules than anyone on the planet making CrApple look like a peon phone maker, because they make 70% of iFad cost in parts and 50% of iPwn'd cost in parts too! …so go ahead buy your iPwn'd4 or iFad Samsung still makes most of the money anyway! lol
