So far 2010 has been a huge year for Apple, not only have we seen the launch of their first-ever tablet device the iPad, but we have also seen the launch of the fourth-generation iPhone.
Apple has recently revealed their fiscal 2010 third quarter results, this quarter ended on June 26th and Apple is happy to announce record revenue of $15.7 billion, in the same period last year Apple reported revenue of $9.73 billion.
During their fiscal 2010 third quarter Apple boasted a net quarterly profit of $3.25 billion, this nearly doubles last year’s figures of $1.83 billion.
The impressive net quarterly profit and revenue is thanks to huge sales of devices such as the iPhone 4 and iPad, in this quarter over 3.27 million iPads were sold and around 8.4 million iPhones.
Apple’s CEO had this to say about the impressive results “it was a phenomenal quarter that exceeded our expectations all around, including the most successful product launch in Apple’s history with iPhone 4,” and added “iPad is off to a terrific start, more people are buying Macs than ever before, and we have amazing new products still to come this year.”
What do you think these other amazing new products will be?
